The Soil of the Heart
Grace falls on every heart like rain, but not every heart receives it the same way. The soil matters. A soft, humble heart drinks deeply; a hardened one lets grace run off.
Our work is not to manufacture growth but to keep the soil tender, through repentance, through worship, through mercy shown to others.
Seasons of Growth
Growth is seasonal. There are springs of rapid change and winters that feel like nothing is happening at all.
Do not despise the winter. Beneath the frozen ground, roots are still reaching. God is never idle, even when we cannot see the work.
